Rene Isip’s Toyota of Lewisville Readies for Cash for Clunkers

Rene Isip’s Toyota of Lewisville in the Dallas, Texas area is preparing for what could be a considerable increase in sales if the proposed Cash for Guzzlers bill is passed into law. The bill would offer a voucher of up to $4,500 for consumers who trade in their ‘gas guzzler’ for a more fuel efficient vehicle.  Toyota has some of the most fuel efficient vehicles and Toyota of Lewisville is one of the largest new and used dealers in Texas.

Data collected from US Consumers visiting a new Cash For Guzzlers website indicates that Toyota is one of the top manufacturers that would benefit most from the proposed voucher program.  The data reflects Toyota’s commitment to introducing innovative and fuel-efficient vehicles to the US automotive market including the 2009 Camry*, the 2009 Corolla and most recently the 2010 Toyota Prius.  All three vehicles average 30+ MPG or better.

In addition to the aforementioned vehicles the 2008 Solara, the 2009 Yaris and the 2009 Matrix also have epa mpg ratings of 30 mpg or more.  The 2010 Prius leads the entire group at an astounding 50 mpg.

Steve DeWitt, General Manager for Toyota of Lewisville is excited about the potential business the new bill could bring. “Toyota has more cars with an EPA highway estimate over 30 miles per gallon than any other car company on the road today.  We have fuel-efficient, affordable, and stylish cars with so many options. Toyota of Lewisville literally has a car to fit any lifestyle and budget. Many of the Toyota cars should qualify for the Cash for Guzzlers voucher program and we will offer a large selection of models for car shoppers to choose from.”

Consumers can go online to toyotaoflewisville.com and request price quotes for their desired vehicles.

Rene Isip’s Toyota of Lewisville Finds Internet Success with ResponseLogix

Click on the link below for the entire story as well as a video . . .

“Originally, we wanted to go with ResponseLogix because we wanted more control over the pricing that was going out to our customers, and we loved the SmartFollow tool,” said Steve DeWitt, General Manager of one of the largest Toyota dealerships in the Dallas area, Toyota of Lewisville. DeWitt continued, “ResponseLogix has made us more effective because it has allowed us to run our staff in the new car Internet department leaner… and has made us more efficient as well because of the man-hours that it saves in the time that it takes to compile a lead and be able to send out quote …”

Prior to ResponseLogix, Toyota of Lewisville was selling between 40 to 60 cars out of their Internet department. Now, they sell over 100 a month, and they have done so consistently. In DeWitt’s words, “ResponseLogix has really helped us in a very aggressive new car market new car market stay competitive. We can react to the market…, or if we want to, we can be proactive. With the back-end tool (the Extranet), it allows the management team to drive a car that might not be turning that well, or change the pricing if the availability goes down.”

In this competitive market, it’s important that resources can be allocated to pre-owned inventory, and ResponseLogix has allowed Steve the flexibility to move resources to the pre-owned side of the business, without negatively impacting the new car side.

DeWitt summed it up by saying, “We’ve grown our Internet to over 100 sales per month, and we would not have been able to do that without some of the tools that ResponseLogix brings to the table.”

Toyota of Lewisville Sponsors Texas Long Drive Contest

Wolter Wins Texas Shootout With Sixth-Ball Heroics

Carl Wolter came through in the clutch, launching a massive 397-yard moon ball, to claim the open division title at LDA’s Texas Shootout Presented by Toyota of Lewisville.

Wolter’s sixth-ball heroics produced a 397-380 match-play win over runner-up Allen McDougall.

Wolter collected $13,000 for the win. McDougall earned $8,000.

In semifinal matches, Wolter, the 2002 RE/MAX world champion, defeated Alex DeVilling, an LD rookie competing in his first event, 385-377. McDougall bested Tom Roskos, 390-OB.

Roskos posted the longest drive of the evening — 410 yards — in the 8-for-4 shootout that opened the evening’s activities at Trophy Club Country Club, where a crowd estimated at 1,000 gathered to watch professional long drive’s finest. Wolter was next in line with 409 yards.

Four of the eight competitors who survived elimination rounds at City Pointe Driving Range failed to find the grid in the shootout. Headed to the sidelines early in the evening were Jeff Gavin, Zac Adams, Jason Frey and Jamie Sadlowski.

Sadlowski, the reigning RE/MAX world champion, had led the power parade at City Pointe with 421 yards in Round 7 of the winner’s bracket.

Semifinalists Roskos and DeVilling pocketed $4,500. It marked the fourth consecutive year Roskos cashed at the Texas tour event.
