“Of the numerous independent studies conducted each year, the J.D. The following highlights came from the study:

• Toyota received five highest-ranking awards, more than any other brand.
• The Tundra full-size pickup topped its segment for the sixth year in a row, while the Prius mid-size gas-electric hybrid sedan, 4Runner midsize Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), Sienna midsize van, and Tacoma pickup truck each topped their respective segments.
• Other Toyota models ranked in the top three of their segment including the Toyota Yaris sub-compact (Total), Toyota Matrix cross-over utility vehicle (CUV), Toyota RAV4 compact SUV, Toyota Solara midsize coupe, Toyota Sequoia full-size SUV, and Scion tC sports coupe.

In addition, not only were 17 Toyota and Scion models listed as “most reliable” by a leading national consumer publication, but of those, 12 of them also made the publication’s “recommended” list. Recognition in both categories is more than any other automaker in the industry.

Since its release into the hands of truck enthusiasts back in 2000, the Toyota Tundra has won the hearts and minds of people everywhere, especially in North Texas.

We ran across one Tundra enthusiast that relies heavily on his truck to bring home the bacon! Have any of you ever tried fly fishing or been on a guided fly fishing trip? Well, we found a person who guides over 300 days a year on various rivers all over the country.

Each and every day, Keith Kaneko of Angling on the Fly guide service, packs up his Tundra with gear and hauls his boat down the dusty and rugged roads to launch his boat. Thankfully, the Tundra has a solid frame, big, aggressive tires, a fail-proof four-wheel drive system and best of all, is very comfortable. This river rock star stops at nothing and each dollar he makes depends on making it safely to the river.

Keith has put his Tundra though the river and over the hills, literally! With over 50,000 miles logged a year hauling, transporting clients and sometimes even making for a great bed, the Tundra is a fly fisherman’s best friend. Number three rests in the off-road capabilities. Tundras are like nothing else and are impossible to stop. Because of the shorter wheelbase and optimized distribution of power, I can climb anything, even with my boat attached. Bottom line for me is that I have to be there, everyday with a smile on my face and the Tundra helps me do this.

Lastly, after a 15-hour day, I usually have to drive two more hours to get home to my family and I love how my Tundra rides.”
